With its combination of crisp linen and marble tables, the room exudes a serene sophistication.
While Maison Balzac water glasses and Made In Japan tableware bring a delicate refinement to each dining detail; guests are surrounded by inspiring artwork by Adele Naidoo & Poppie Pack.

Malin can accommodate a majority of allergy & dietary requirements and we appreciate you notifying us at the time of booking.
While all care is taken in taken in the preparation of dishes, we can not guarantee safety through cross contamination and traces with our suppliers.

We love hosting large groups and simply ask guests to acknowledge the intimate layout of our small dining room.
Parties of 7 dine on our Chef’s Tasting menu, with any allergy & dietary requirements taken into consideration.
Please speak to your guests to ensure this is suitable for them and your occasion ahead of booking.

Malin is a fully licensed venue and can not allow guests to bring their own alcohol.

Malin welcomes people of all ages, however does not offer an alternative children’s menu.
If you would like or need to bring a pram; please make a note in your booking so that an appropriate table can be accommodated.

Malin is located at 687 Rathdowne St (entry via the black door on Curtain St)
There is sufficient street parking, however should guests wish to arrive by public transport the 1, 6 & 96 trams are the closest stops and require a 5-10minute walk. The 250 & 251 bus stops are located 100m from Malin.
Rideshare services are commonly available in the area.

The main entry is located on Curtain St. This entry has two steps, and there are another two steps that lead into the main dining room.
For those who can not navigate steps, the main dining room can also be accessed via Rathdowne St. We appreciate you advising of this at the time of booking so that tables can be appropriately accommodated.

Private Dining & Events
Malin’s small but charming main dining room is available for private dining and events. A first floor private dining room, suitable for 12 guests, will be available in mid 2025.
